Where does Chapter get funding?
SHRM National Support: for every designated member, National provides the Chapter with a total of $25.00 per year. It is paid quarterly at $6.25 per quarter per member.
Example: 160 members x $25.00 = $4,000/year
Sponsorships and participant fees - monthly meetings & annual conference
Where does Chapter spend funds?

Mailing, stationary supplies and postage

Speaker expenses

Expenses for President and other Board members to attend State Council Meetings, State Leadership, National Leadership and other selected meetings or conferences

Meeting expenses

Volunteer recognition items - Volunteer of Year, Certificates, etc.

Membership in Chamber of Commerce; expenses for Board to attend selected meetings representing Chapter

Donation to SHRM Foundation

Board meetings (usually at dinner)

Committee meetings or individual meetings with Committee chairs
