Where does Chapter get funding?
SHRM National Support: for every designated member, National provides the Chapter with a total of $25.00 per year. It is paid quarterly at $6.25 per quarter per member.
Example: 160 members x $25.00 = $4,000/year
Sponsorships and participant fees - monthly meetings & annual conference
Where does Chapter spend funds?
- Mailing, stationary supplies and postage
- Speaker expenses
- Expenses for President and other Board members to attend State Council Meetings, State Leadership, National Leadership and other selected meetings or conferences
- Meeting expenses
- Volunteer recognition items - Volunteer of Year, Certificates, etc.
- Membership in Chamber of Commerce; expenses for Board to attend selected meetings representing Chapter
- Donation to SHRM Foundation
- Board meetings (usually at dinner)
- Committee meetings or individual meetings with Committee chairs
- Certification Scholarships & Professional Development Stipends
- Miscellaneous expenses
- Website & Email Management
