Chapter Funds 

Where does Chapter get funding?

¨      SHRM National Support:  for every designated member, National provides the Chapter with a total of $25.00 per year.  It is paid quarterly at $6.25 per quarter per member.

Example:  160 members x $25.00 = $4,000/year

¨      Sponsorships and participant fees - monthly meetings & annual conference

Where does Chapter spend funds?

¨      Mailing, stationary supplies and postage

¨      Speaker expenses

¨      Expenses for President and other Board members to attend State Council Meetings, State Leadership, National Leadership and other selected meetings or conferences

¨      Meeting expenses

¨      Volunteer recognition items - Volunteer of Year, Certificates, etc.

¨      Membership in Chamber of Commerce; expenses for Board to attend selected meetings representing Chapter

¨      Donation to SHRM Foundation

¨      Board meetings (usually at dinner)

¨      Committee meetings or individual meetings with Committee chairs

¨      Certification Scholarships & Professional Development Stipends

¨      Miscellaneous expenses

¨      Website & Email Management
