Establish an Internship 

Internships are a win-win situation for employer and intern.  Interns have a great opportunity to acquire essential personal and professional skills and gain valuable work experience.  Internships can be full-time during the summer or part-time, paid or unpaid and may provide the intern with academic credit.

There are numerous benefits for your organization to develop an internship program with SUNY New Paltz including:

§         Completion of special projects that may otherwise go undone due to lack of staff or time constraints.

§         Student interns are motivated and highly skilled workers who are eager and enthusiastic to learn.

§         Organizations that provide internships gain exposure within the community and are seen in a positive light for their efforts to develop members of the future workforce.

§         An opportunity to test out interns as potential employees and reduce recruiting costs.
