Scholarship Program for Undergraduates

The Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (MHVSHRM) has established a scholarship program to help fund the education of local college students with a sincere interest in the field of Human Resources. Awards are based on merit (using the criteria outlined below), and may be combined with other financial aid as long as the total received does not exceed the cost of tuition, fees and books for a single school year.

Awards are made by MHVSHRM without regard to applicants’ age, color, disability, gender, genetic traits, marital status, military status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected under federal or New York State law.

A MHVSHRM scholarship consists of a one-time $500 grant to be used to pay tuition, fees and textbook costs, plus a free student membership in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for one year. Scholarship recipients also receive free membership in MHVSHRM, and are invited to attend four of MHVSHRM’s programs at no cost.
