HUMAN RESOURCE CERTIFICATION
PHR/SPHR/GPHR
We encourage members to achieve Professional Certification in Human Resources as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR).
Certification is done through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
Don’t Be Left Behind!
As of August 2006, there were almost 84,000 certified HR professionals worldwide and over 3,000 in New York State!
As the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Human Resource Certification, R. Gregory Green states:
As the human resources profession continues to evolve, HR professionals are taking on broader and more strategic responsibilities within their organizations. With this expanded role, it is critical that professionals stay up to date on core human resource principles and disciplines.
Whether it is staffing plans, recruiting strategies, retention initiatives, or organizational alignment, both employees and employers are recognizing the value of having certified HR staff that are knowledgeable about all the issues and regulations with which companies are dealing.
